Totally worth it, even if you can get the same view at the top. If it's busy, they'll cram you inside and it's not terribly fun. First opened in 1879 and death-free since 1996!

It's the same price to go down as to go up, but at least going down there tend to not be any queues! It's far more touristy at the bottom than at the top.

Recommend that you take the Funicular up from Vieux-Quebec. There are stairs next to it that are easy to go down from, but are more difficult to walk up.

Can be crowded, so make sure you occupy the spot right next to the window!

Good service... I’d save 3.50$ and use it only on the way up. It’s not such a long walk gong down...
